Sunday, January 28, is Grace’s annual “International Sunday” event. International Sunday is our congregation’s celebration of the Christian festival of Epiphany. January 6, marks the traditional date of Epiphany. Epiphany is one of Christianity’s oldest festivals. Throughout the Season of Epiphany the Sunday Bible readings reveal and stress Jesus to be the Savior of people of all races, nations, and languages.
In celebration of the truth of Scripture that Jesus came to save all people, Grace will have three special worship services on January 28 at 8:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The children of Grace Christian Academy will sing at 11:00 a.m. worship. The 11:00 a.m. worship service will be bilingual (English & Spanish).
An “International Meal” will follow 11:00 a.m. worship. In order to make the meal “international”, we are kindly asking all who attend to bring food that testifies to your heritage (for example, if you are French, bring a French dish). Also, we kindly ask that you label your dish regarding “what it is” and “what nationality” to which it is native. Each family is asked to bring the equivalent of two food dishes. Single people are asked to bring one food dish. Refreshments and table service will be provided.
We hope you can join us for International Sunday on January 28th!
